New American Funding is a mortgage company, but we strive to be much more than that. As one of the largest Latino owned businesses in the country, we have always focused on helping minority communities build generational wealth through homeownership. Serving underserved communities is isn't just a buzzword for us, it's at the very core of what we do. We recognize that every culture is unique, and our leadership has worked hard to create and maintain an environment of inclusion for both our clients and our employees. That's why we ensure that all of our clients are able to work with someone who is familiar with and experienced in their culture when they are buying a home or refinancing an existing loan. In 2013, we formalized our commitment to the Hispanic market and launched our Latin focused Initiative, which works to address challenges His panic consumers facing their pursuit of home ownership. We have a diverse team of bilingual loan originators as well as seasoned underwriters who are trained to provide manual underwriting to borrowers with nontraditional credit profiles and who are culturally keen to the unique nuances that exist within this demographic. Later, we launched the New American Dream Initiative to raise awareness and help increase home ownership in black communities through education, access to credit and community awareness. Since its inception in 2016, we have helped countless black families achieve the dream of becoming homeowners and we are working hard to increase those numbers. New American Funding has worked hard to make itself a great place for individuals of diverse backgrounds to call home. In fact, nearly half of our workforce comes from a diverse background. Background we know the importance of mirroring the communities we serve and are working hard to continue serving the underserved.
